Our Story

The Beginning

Traiders was started in the North East of England to help town and city centres, local businesses and communities overcome the challenges we are all currently facing. We are a team of business, technology and creative digital professionals, who have decades of experience helping deliver change. An example of this is the London Olympics 2012 legacy in Stratford, East Village London. Traiders' founder led the change programmes to transform the athletes village into the most modern village in the UK. This included the East Village Web Portal, shown below, a duplicate of the physical village enabling its residents to interact with the physical and online stores, and businesses.

Together we will build new town and city centres with online experiences celebrating the unique qualities of each town and city. Traiders' Web Portal is our primary placemaking digital asset, providing a custom built online environment for everything happening in the town or city to inform and attract visitors and increase footfall.

The eCommerce transactional beating heart of the Web Portal is the Online Community Marketplace (B2B2C) where all businesses are able to interact and transact with their customers, and each other. This model ensures that the British Pound remains within its towns and cities thereby supporting the local economies without being displaced globally through foreign platforms.

We will build a sustainable future that every town and city can be proud of!

Our Vision

Revitalising town centres and city centres to secure their economic and social future.

Sustainably increase local and regional economy by digitally twinning businesses and town centres.

Our Mission

Giving people impelling reasons to visit your town or city including unique experiences based on heritage, communities, and culture.

Keeping the pound local using digital technologies to attract and retain visitors in the High Street and online.

Our Aims and Values

  • Celebrate uniqueness of towns and communities by providing sustainable digital and physical environments
  • Help SMEs trade online and grow their business starting in County Durham, Tyne & Wear, Tees Valley and throughout the North East Region
  • Provide new online experience for businesses and their customers

Our Approach

Traiders Digital will support business owners and market traders who operate in local communities within North East of England through an online marketplace. We are engaging with independent businesses, creating a digital pathway for each business and the wider community. Each business will have a dedicated account manager who specialises in digital marketing and online business. The business community will be supported by guidance and education throughout their online journey.

In short we will provide an online environment for each town and city centre starting in the North East of England. We will build a customised online community marketplace where businesses can advertise their services and products. Each business will have its own eCommerce website within the community marketplace which is linked to a POS in the business premises or can be used with mobile devices.

For those who do not require a full e-commerce shop, for example, solicitors, accountants, and tradesmen we will help with their customer acquisition and retention. Those who require a full e-commerce shop who have multiple products or services that they would like to sell online will fall under two categories: single channel website only or multiple channels website.

All businesses will benefit from strategic and tactical digital marketing and social media campaigns to acquire and retain customers. Traiders will provide, with its partners: local logistics, mentoring, coaching, logistics, software development and systems integration.

Our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility

Traiders Digital Limited is a socially responsible enterprise helping local businesses and communities create, survive, and thrive within their town centres and online.
